Kavyalekh Code of Conduct

Kavyalekh is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all members of our Hindi literature community. This Code of Conduct applies to all users, including writers, readers, editors, and administrators.

Expected Behavior

1. Be Respectful: Treat all community members with dignity and courtesy
2. Be Authentic: Submit only original work or properly attributed content
3. Be Constructive: Offer feedback that helps others improve
4. Be Professional: Maintain decorum in all public interactions
5. Be Accountable: Take responsibility for your contributions and their impact

Prohibited Conduct

• Harassment, bullying, or intimidation of any kind
• Hate speech, discrimination, or bigotry
• Plagiarism or copyright infringement
• Impersonation of other users or authors
• Spam, self-promotion abuse, or manipulative behavior
• Sharing explicit content without proper content warnings
• Doxxing or sharing private information without consent
• Coordinated attacks or brigading

Enforcement

Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in:

1. Warning: First-time minor infractions receive a formal warning
2. Temporary Suspension: Repeated or moderate violations lead to 7-30 day suspensions
3. Content Removal: Violating content will be unpublished or deleted
4. Permanent Ban: Severe or repeated violations result in account termination

Reporting Violations

If you witness or experience a Code of Conduct violation:

1. Use the "Report" button on the relevant content or user profile
2. Provide specific details and evidence if available
3. Our moderation team will review within 48 hours
4. You'll receive a confirmation email with a reference number

Appeals Process

If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error:

1. Email appeals@kavyalekh.com with your reference number
2. Explain your perspective with supporting evidence
3. Appeals are reviewed by a different moderator
4. You'll receive a response within 5 business days

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to all Kavyalekh spaces, including:

• Platform content (works, comments, reviews)
• User profiles and bio information
• Community forums and discussion boards
• Direct messages and private interactions
• Official Kavyalekh social media accounts

Updates

This Code of Conduct may be updated periodically. Material changes will be announced via email and platform notifications.
